Commercial leases

Make informed decisions when it comes to commercial leasing

As lawyers, we can ensure your understanding of the transaction is properly reflected in the lease documents. Ambiguity or other poor drafting can lead to expensive disputes later.

We’ll also make sure all the important terms are included in the agreements before signing, so you don’t find yourself renegotiating later. Renegotiations can be expensive and time-consuming. Even then, they might not be successful.

You can rely on us to provide clear, concise and timely advice so you can confidently make informed decisions.

We can negotiate with the landlord or tenant on your behalf to ensure lease terms are where you need them to be.

We have strong relationships with our commercial clients because we work hard to understand their business and their goals. That understanding means our clients can come to us anytime for reliable and actionable advice relevant to their unique situations.

When to get advice on your lease...

The time to talk to us is before you sign any lease documents.

We can advise you at various stages before documents are signed — during negotiations, at the document preparation stage — or we can take documents prepared by someone else and then take that transaction to completion.

You must also talk to your accountant before entering into a transaction to get the tax treatment right.
